Agreed. I still think it should be legal even for those who want to use it “unhealthily” though - the drug war causes far more problems than it solves. I’m here to tell you, as a doctor, that despite all the talk about the medical benefits of marijuana, smoking the stuff is not going to do your health any good.
Boo for the incoming Surgeon General. WTF, man? WTF! I thought you were different.
Actually it can help your health a great deal if you have chronic pain or certain neurological disorders. Dr. Gupta always was a corporate schill for whatever the pharmaceutical companies are pushing at any given moment, so this is not really a surprise.
There are other ways to get THC into your system besides smoking. That’s why Bill Clinton was able to say he never inhaled. Also, if the medicinal benefits of THC were actually researched thoroughly we might be able to develop medications which decrease the “negative” side effects of pot.
